Ellen Cutler, O.D.

Dr. Cutler earned a Bachelor of Science degree from S.U.N.Y. at Albany followed by a doctorate degree from S.U.N.Y. College of Optometry. She has been providing comprehensive optometric services to the Westchester community for the past twenty years. She has extensive experience and expertise in contact lens fitting and has knowledge of the latest contact lens technology. Disposable soft contact lenses are now available for spherical, astigmatic, or presbyopic patients which allows almost anyone a chance for successful contact lens wear, whether on an everyday basis or for occasional wear. Dr. Cutler takes the extra steps to fine tune every fitting, especially monovision, multifocal or rigid gas permeable lenses, to ensure the very best visual acuity for each individual. She especially enjoys the challenge of fitting previously unsuccessful contact lens wearers as well as first time contact lens candidates, like teenagers, or adults who haven’t tried them in years.

Dr. Cutler’s approach has always been to get to know her patients, learn about their specific needs and address those needs with any combination of spectacles or contact lenses. She addresses functional issues such as eyestrain and headaches commonly associated with working on the computer. She takes pride in the fact that many of New York’s finest ophthalmologists refer their patients to her for contact lens fittings and revisions. She can help most patients comfortably wear contact lenses and see the world in a whole new way, as an alternative to glasses.
